The lamellar oil separator is a static machine able to separate the oil drops from the water according to the principle of aggregation / coalescence. The oily mixtures are forced to be flown into a special trajectory inside the machine that leads them to join together, forming gradually larger droplets that, having a lower density than the water, tend to float towards the surface forming a layer of oil that can be recovered through a spillway.
